We pasture/forest raise registered Tamworth pigs. The Tamworth is an old heritage breed from the Highland region of Ireland known for its fine-grained, marbled meat and considered the world's best bacon pig. We chose to raise Tamworths after extensive research and learning that no other breed excels on forage better than they do. They also have a higher meat to bone ratio, giving you a higher yield from hanging weight. Although they do excel on forage, we still feed a full grain diet.
These pigs will average about 200 pounds hanging weight and are $4 per pound not including processing. You are paying a non-refundable deposit only. The balance will be due at pick-up.
PLEASE NOTE: our system will make you choose a pick up date and location. This date and time will not be your actual pick up date and time for your pork. We will contact you for that.
Only if there is a problem on our part that causes you to not be able to get your pork will we refund
If you purchase one of our pigs and have standard processing done, with Arkansas processsing charges you can expect to pay an average of $6-7 per pound.
